These dolls are almost 50 years old and are still in good condition. They were made by Sheena Macleod who was an award winning Scottish doll maker, whose dolls were sold all over the country.

She made 12 different type character dolls.

These two dolls are in good condition - they do not come with original tags or boxes.

Doll descriptions:

The old man is sitting on a wooden stool, with a basket containing a fishing net, (attached to a black wooden stool). He wears a pair of black woollen tweed trousers, a black felt hat and a black & white knitted jumper and black rubber type apron.

Old Woman Doll - She also sits on a black wooden stool, wearing wears a traditional type striped fisherwoman’s skirt and over it a waterproof apron. Under her skirt is a thick red brushed cotton underskirt - and bloomers made from the same fabric. her jumper is a brown/orange/green hue and she wears a knotted matching flowery cotton headscarf.
